Parliamentary Inquiry into the NSW Workers Compensation Scheme

October 21, 2016Uncategorized

The Legislative Council of NSW’s Standing Committee on Law and Justice is currently conducting its first review of the NSW Worker Compensation Scheme.

As part of our commitment to law reform in this area of law in which we practice, John Cox submitted a submission to the Inquiry. Specialist PTSD & Injury Lawyers’ submissions can be read here.

All of the current submissions can be located here on the Parliament website. In respect of the police compensation issue, there are some excellent submissions, especially by affected officers. However, some submissions by other involved organisations are surprisingly disappointing. It is great that the Committee received so many submissions on the police issue.

The Committee will hear evidence from selected witnesses on 4 and 7 November 2016.
